Marking their first solo exhibition in London, Emergeast, MENA’s leading online art gallery, collaborated with J Nicholls Projects to present Tarik Chebli’s solo show Euphoric Nature in London, in tandem with Frieze Art Fair 2022, one of the world’s most anticipated events in the art calendar. Characterized by heavily textured acrylic paint, spontaneous brushstrokes and detailed abstractions, Euphoric Nature is a gateway into a whimsical and euphoric abyss of imagination and wonder. Tarik’s impenetrable works occupy an expressive realm between figurative landscapes and abstract forms. Through spontaneous brushstrokes and detailed abstractions, the viewer can enter a sensory experience into an abyss of his euphoric underworld. “I am fascinated by the mysticism of nature. There is something infinite about the secrets and diversity of it. It reassures me,” shares Tarik Chebli.
The opening of Euphoric Nature saw a full house with more than 200 attendees including young and seasoned collectors and London’s art enthusiasts to celebrate Tarik Chebli’s latest body of work. The opening embodied Emergeast’s vision of breaking the barriers to entering cultural and creative discourse with a new generation.
Tarik Chebli is an Algerian-French visual artist based in Paris. He graduated from the University of Rennes 2, mastering in Plastic Arts Research with a degree in Applied Arts from École Pivaut. Dedicated to his craft, Tarik found his artistic calling through his curiosity about nature and the spiritual realm. Inspired by the work of Anselm Kiefer, his research has taken him to explore the mysterious and vibrant
discoveries of an imagined utopia.
The exhibition is on by appointment until the 28th of October at 12 Hay Hill in Mayfair, London.
