Hadia Ghaleb Releases Modest Swimwear Collection With Bold Message

Tackling the stigmas associated with Burkini fashion embedded within Egyptian society, entrepreneur and fashion influencer Hadia Ghaleb sent seismic waves across social media when she dropped her empowering summer 2022 swimwear collection. Customizable, stylish, and inclusive are just a few things that can be said about the modest collection. It features two swimwear sets that come in six vibrant colors inspired by the elements that make our summers memorable.

Ghaleb’s swimwear collection may be modest but her message is bold: swimwear must be inclusive of all. This controversial drop set off a much-needed cultural dialogue about Burkini fashion. In a Muslim-majority nation such as Egypt, to tie fashion with modesty is encouraged, yet when it comes to swimwear, that hasn’t always been the case. In an attempt to break these barriers for both veiled and non-veiled women, Ghaleb’s trendy swimwear line promotes individuality and empowers women through inclusive representation.

A personal project and true labor of love, Ghaleb’s inclusive collection helps bridge the disparity between fashion for veiled and non-veiled women. Between the vivid pastels and bold patterns, Ghaleb dives deeper with a vision that goes beyond fabric. When designing the collection, she envisioned an empowered Arab woman, lost in the sounds of the waves and enrobed in warm color. The versatile outfits can be worn both in the day and night for a seamless, smooth and chic summer experience.
