Showcasing the ingenuity of local craftsmanship, homegrown Egyptian brand Jozee Boutique has been making strides in the handmade and slow fashion realm since its founding in 2014. Since then, it has positioned itself as the fair trade it-spot for the free-spirited crowd with its hand-stitched unconventional garments. The Zamalek-based boutique is a hotspot for both local and foreign appreciators of handmade embroideries, crafts and goods, drawing in people from all over the world with their bold prints, colors and designs.

The sustainable fashion brand not only designs and produces its own original handmade products but also serves as a platform that showcases the work of local designers, NGOs and artisans. With a heavy emphasis on the human element of fashion, most of Jozee’s designs are adorned with detailed embroideries handmade by the talented craftswomen of Siwa and Saint Catherine, with each piece carrying the thumbprint of the women who made it.

Interweaving their distinct boho Egyptian heritage-inspired designs with vivid swirls of pastels, Jozee linked up with local fashion brand Egypsy to launch a kaleidoscopic tie dye collection that screams summer. This unique collection is just one of four collaborations Jozee has in store for this season. From maxi skirts and harem pants to kaftans and jumpsuits, this collection is as versatile as it is colorful.
