Lebanese Fashion House Sarah’s Bag Colloborates with French Luxury Brand Chloé

With a shared appreciation for craft, a passion for social sustainable practices and a firm commitment to empowering women, Lebanese fashion house and social enterprise @sarahsbag and French Luxury Brand @chloe linked up to reimagine the iconic Woody nano tote bag with a crochet twist, for a good cause. Kicking off in Fall 2022 and set to last a number of seasons, the collaboration brings us a crocheted nano tote that revisits the Woody line’s distinctive characteristics in a soft, playfully compact shape while paying homage to the Mediterranean craft of crochet.

The new collaboration celebrates Lebanese local craftsmanship by promoting the work of the underprivileged women who hand crochet all the items for Sarah’s Bag. Founded in 2000 with the goal of empowering marginalized women in Lebanon, the Lebanese enterprise has been working avidly for more than two decades to provide a livelihood to more than 200 women through the creation of elevated handcrafted fashion pieces. Now, with the support of Chloé, the craftswomen behind Sarah’s Bag are bringing their crochet prowess to the global fashion stage. The newly coined term, ‘fair luxury’ seems to fairly reflect the ethos of both Chloé and Sarah’s Bag.
