UAE, Egypt, and Jordan Rank as Top MENA Travel Destinations

Set against the backdrop of a world slowly reopening following a raging pandemic and the subsequent global travel restrictions, travelers are coming out of the pandemic with a newfound appreciation for the privilege of traveling and taking to the skies in troves.

Following over two years of pent-up demand, the global travel economy has taken a big blow but things are finally picking up. Rising out of the ashes as a booming travel destination, the Middle East seems to be on everyone’s bucket list with the UAE ranking as the most popular MENA destination for global leisure travelers, followed by Egypt and Jordan respectively.

In the aftermath of the pandemic, the MENA region is recovering well and inbound demand is an impressive 90 percent of 2019 levels year to date. The UAE continues to draw in travelers from European travelers from the UK, Germany, France, Italy and the Netherlands, as well as travellers from USA and Turkey. Egypt and Jordan are also witnessing a similar boom with increasing popularity among European travelers from the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands for leisure travel.
